As chairman of the Applied Insight board, John provides strategic counsel to the leadership team and supports outreach with senior customers and industry partners. He was formerly CEO of the company.
A former naval aviator, John has been a senior leader with some of our industry’s preeminent companies. He ran ManTech’s security and mission assurance organization, was General Manager of SAIC’s mission support business, and senior vice president of TASC’s defense and civil group before being appointed as COO and CEO. Following TASC’s acquisition by Engility, John became president and COO of the combined business. He is highly experienced in M&A, having played a lead role in many transactions during his career, and overseen the successful integration of acquired companies.
A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and George Washington University, John is a board member at the Capital Area Food Bank, and a recipient of the Federal 100 Award from Federal Computer Week.

Eric is responsible for leading Applied Insight's technical growth strategy and aligning technical solutions and talent delivery with our customers' emerging mission requirements. He ensures that Applied Insight is best positioned to provide leading expertise to support our strategic partners and customers via our in-house training organization, aiAcademy. Eric also co-leads the team at aiLabs, collaborating with our CTO to guide our dedicated R&D program focused on developing new and pragmatic technologies that advance our customers' missions.
Eric has more than 15 years of experience in enterprise information technology, virtualization, automation, and cloud computing in support of the Federal Government. He has led technical teams and architected winning technical solutions in support of multiple government programs across the intelligence, defense and federal civilian communities, with a focus on digital transformation and technical innovation, advancing customer capabilities to continuously create and maintain an advantage in respective mission areas. Prior to Applied Insight, Eric has held technical and management positions at Stratus Solutions, Amazon Web Services, Booz Allen Hamilton, and the Department of Defense.
Eric graduated with a B.S. in Computer and Information Science from the University of Maryland, University College and holds multiple technical certifications.

Andie is responsible for Applied Insight’s employee engagement, professional development, internal communications and recruiting strategies.
She brings more than 20 years of proven experience to the company, including the design and delivery of successful engagement and recruiting initiatives for companies with highly technical teams. Most recently, Andie was head of global talent for DevOps company CircleCI, leading an international recruiting team across seven countries.Previously, she was chief people officer for Anthem Engineering, where she led all human resource functions including recruiting and boosted talent acquisition significantly year over year. Andie also designed and implemented programs for diversity and inclusion, performance reviews, and onboarding. Earlier in her career, she held recruiting management roles at Booz Allen Hamilton, TASC and Vocus.
Andie has a B.S. in both Psychology and Special Education from Lynchburg College.

Leveraging over 20 years of experience in senior government and industry leadership roles, Larry is responsible for Applied Insight’s growth and marketing strategy, opportunity development, and customer relationships.
Prior to joining the company, his government experience included positions on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Deputy Director Legislative Affairs for Department of Homeland Security Intel and Analysis as well as Deputy Program Executive Officer at the National Security Agency. On HPSCI, Larry was responsible for organizing and executing more than 50 classified briefings for Congressional members allowing oversight across the Intelligence Community. At DHS, he led coordination of all communications and activity from DHS to 16 Intel agencies and seven Congressional oversight committees. As Deputy PEO at NSA, Larry’s portfolio included several billion dollars in contracts and programs including two Major Automated Information Systems.
Larry’s leadership experience in government industry includes serving as Senior Account Executive at a large telecommunications firm and also as Capture Manager and Vice President, Business Development at two large defense companies. These roles included responsibilities for managing sales pipelines of more than $5 billion, orchestrating well over $1 billion in annual proposal submissions, and securing nearly $500 million in contract awards. His business development roles have included both domestic and international responsibilities supporting commercial and government customers.
Throughout his career, Larry has been involved in supporting all aspects of the Intelligence Community and is dedicated to serving the warfighter. He holds a B.S. from the U.S. Naval Academy and is incredibly proud to have served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy.

Adam is responsible for defining Applied Insight's technology strategy, guiding our technology-driven culture, and spearheading the development of innovative products and solutions to support customer missions, specifically through the Altitude and SHIFT product lines. He also leads the team at aiLabs, our dedicated R&D program focused on developing new and pragmatic technologies that advance our customers’ missions.
Adam has more than 15 years of experience in enterprise cloud computing. He has been a Technical Program Manager on multiple government programs across the intelligence, defense and federal civilian communities, and was instrumental in the development of Altitude, Applied Insight's cloud management technology. Prior to Applied Insight, Adam was a cyber security specialist with Booz Allen Hamilton, specializing in vulnerability assessment and secure virtualized architectures. Adam holds several advanced technical certifications and is an AWS Ambassador within the AWS Partner Network.
Adam graduated with a B.S. in Computer Forensics from Stevenson University. He earned an M.S. in Information Assurance from Capitol Technology University, and an MBA in Business Analytics from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.

Chris Horn is responsible for program execution and delivery, mobilization, customer service and client engagement. Chris has nearly 20 years of experience supporting the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community, with key leadership positions in both contractor and civilian markets.
Prior to joining Applied Insight, he served as Vice President, Government Solutions, for Bridges Consulting, Inc., leading multiple, enterprise-wide cybersecurity, cloud-based development, and data compliance initiatives. In previous roles, he served as an enterprise IT executive with the Department of Defense, program executive for a DoD agency, and deputy director and senior lead for analytic modernization of an all-source intelligence center.
He earned degrees from Towson University, Mount St. Mary’s University, and Capitol Technology University and is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute. Additionally, Chris has achieved Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III certification, completing programs in multiple disciplines, including business/financial management, information technology, program management and purchasing.

As SVP and General Manager of Federal Civilian, Jeff leads all aspects of Applied Insight's support to federal civilian agencies and currently supports all three branches of the federal government.
Jeff is a seasoned operator in the federal IT space, bringing nearly 20 years of experience in program management on complex government projects. He has a proven track record of leading complex integrated worldwide communications, marketing and IT programs to successful outcomes, deploying his skills as a certified Project Management Professional. He has led programs supporting the U.S. Courts, Department of Justice, Defense Health Agency, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Energy, Department of Agriculture, General Services Administration and Health and Human Services.
Jeff received his B.S. in Financial Management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

As SVP and General Manager, Intelligence Community, Phillip leads all aspects of support to U.S. intelligence customers.
As a highly experienced systems architect, engineer and team leader, Phillip has a deep understanding of the complex technical challenges facing our IC customers. He has directed numerous large cloud, data and cyber security programs, with executive responsibility for technical design, program delivery, client liaison and team leadership. Prior to his arrival in Applied Insight, he was Vice President, Intelligence, of Stratus Solutions. Phillip spent more than four years with Booz Allen Hamilton, where he delivered on multiple IC programs as the technical lead and eventually, Program Manager. He began his career as a network security and application analyst on projects with the DoD and IC. Phillip is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and Network Defense Architect (CNDA).
Phillip earned his B.S. in Computer Information Systems specializing in Computer Forensics from Stevenson University, MD.

Steve is responsible for all aspects of financial operations across the business with a key role in supporting our growth strategy.
Steve brings more than 25 years of experience in financial leadership and management across federal and commercial markets, where he has been instrumental in helping to scale multiple government technology-enabled businesses. He has domain expertise in assessing and implementing people, processes and technology improvement initiatives across organizations to drive growth, efficiency, and profitability.
Before joining Applied Insight, Steve was the CFO for Bridges Consulting, which was acquired by Applied Insight in 2021. Prior to joining Bridges, he was the CFO for Sigma Space Corp, an aerospace engineering company serving the federal market, which was sold to Hexagon AB in 2016. In addition to his corporate finance experience, Steve previously held capital markets roles at several middle-market investment banks. He began his career at Accenture.
Steve holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from Bucknell University and an M.B.A. in finance from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. He is currently active on the board of a local technology company.

Kathleen leads Applied Insight corporate and program finance functions, responsible for corporate planning, forecasting and reporting, and cradle-to-grave finance support of all awarded contracts.
She is an experienced finance professional with cross-functional experience in project management and process improvement. Since joining Applied Insight in 2019, Kathleen has been instrumental in integrating and maturing Applied Insight’s finance functions during periods of acquisition and growth.
She has extensive experience supporting the U.S. Department of Defense and civilian agencies. Prior to joining Applied Insight, Kathleen led the finance function for a privately held company providing information technology solutions across the federal space. Prior to transitioning into finance roles, she served as a program manager for DoD software engineering programs, with a strong focus on financial management and process improvement including leadership of Capability Maturity Model Integration initiatives.
Kathleen graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Quantitative Business Analysis and George Mason University with a M.S. in Operations Research and Management Science.

Mike is responsible for market and business development as well as customer engagement. He works with other senior leaders to plan and execute growth strategies across government and commercial sectors for products and services.
Mike brings 30 years of industry experience to Applied Insight, including senior leadership roles in business development, marketing and strategic planning. Prior to joining Applied Insight, he was the CEO for an IT services company serving mainly government customers. Mike has led Business Development organizations in several large companies, including having planned, launched and led the corporate BD organization for one of the nation’s leading defense contractors. His experience includes directing national marketing campaigns and business development efforts across government and commercial sectors both domestically and internationally. In addition to his corporate experience, Mike has also supported many companies in the National Security sector as an independent marketing and strategy consultant. He began his career serving in the U.S. Air Force for 15 years as an intelligence analyst.
Active in industry and his community, Mike has held numerous board positions and is currently serving as a Director for the Fort Meade Alliance, a community-oriented non-profit with nearly 300 member companies. He chaired the industry segment of the National Security Scholars Program for eight years. Mike holds a B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Maryland University College and a M.S. in Computer Engineering from Loyola University of Maryland.

Kaandra is responsible for ensuring the success of Applied Insight’s workforce. This includes delivering great customer service, compassion and support to team members through effective staff services operations.
Supported by more than 20 years of experience developing and managing Human Resources programs and functions for government technology leaders in the national security market, Kaandra manages Applied Insight’s Human Resource and Payroll Department business functions. This work includes implementation and assurance of company compliance with labor laws and policies, equal opportunity practices, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
Additionally, she manages Applied Insight’s employee benefits, 401k administration, employee orientation and wellness programs. As a strategic partner with the Executive Leadership Team, Kaandra is a trusted advisor on critical issues related to growth planning and change management. She also provides support to contracts and programs, recruiting and talent acquisition, employee relations and diversity programs, and mergers and acquisitions.
Kaandra joined Applied Insight in 2018 following the company’s acquisition of Organizational Strategies, Inc. She served as Human Resources Director with OSI for nearly 20 years.

Michael is responsible for all proposal pricing and related financial systems for Applied Insight.
An experienced international business executive with a record of proven results and growth, Michael has supported the rapid evolution of Applied Insight’s business in a variety of executive leadership team roles during critical times and throughout the maturation process of the company. These roles included Chief Operations Officer, Vice President of Infrastructure Integration for acquired companies and Vice President of Corporate Finance.
Before joining Applied Insight in 2011, Michael worked in the private sector in both Europe and the U.S. as a software engineer and software implementation consultant for large companies in the telecommunications and financial markets.
Michael graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a B.S. in Engineering and an MBA with a concentration in Finance. He has continued his professional development by earning certifications from the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional and an Agile Certified Practitioner. Michael has also continued to develop his technical knowledge with an Amazon Web Services Solution Architect Associate certification.

Jessica leads Applied Insight’s business development operations, capture and proposal organization.
She has 43 years of experience as a software engineer, program manager and business developer. Jessica spent most of her career as a business developer working with large and small businesses that provide professional services and development to the U.S. Intelligence Community, to include Keane, Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics, Veridian, SRA, Leidos and Shield Consulting Solutions. She has supported all phases of business development including early requirements, customer engagement, capture and proposals. Earlier in her career, Jessica worked for the U.S. National Security Agency as a computer systems analyst.
She has a long commitment to actively supporting industry organizations. Jessica currently volunteers as the Vice President of Scholarships with the AFCEA Central Maryland Chapter. Previously, she served as the chapter’s Vice President of Scientific Education. Jessica has achieved the Association of Proposal Management Professionals’ Foundation and Practitioner certifications. She holds a B.A. in French and Spanish and a M.S. in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University Whiting School of Engineering.

Diana is responsible for the leadership, development and execution of the company’s corporate accounting functions.
Her career spans more than 27 years of experience in supporting companies in the federal contracting, commercial and non-profit industries across a broad range of accounting areas including compliance, process improvements, audit, forecasting and budgeting, financial reporting, indirect rate structure, incurred cost submissions, pricing, and cost proposals.
Prior to joining Applied insight, Diana served as the Controller for Bridges Consulting, which was acquired by Applied Insight in 2021.
Diana holds an MBA and a B.S. in Accounting and Technology & Management from the University of Maryland University College.

Ron is responsible for leading technical solutioning efforts while also helping to guide Applied Insight’s AWS ProServe Practice and aiAcademy organization. He combines his expertise of modern technologies, data collection, and mission knowledge to provide strategic solutions for our partners and customers.
Ron has over 30 years of experience in enterprise information technologies, system architectures, software engineering, and technical program leadership. He has guided engineering teams through full software development life cycles including agile project management, distributed system design, application development, continuous production delivery and operations monitoring. He has led DoD real time mission critical solutions with expertise in big data processing, analytics, alerting, archiving and visualization across a variety of commercial and government platforms. Prior to Applied Insight, Ron was Chief Engineer at CACI (Next Century) and has held Software Architect and Engineer positions at Aether Systems, PowerVision, and General Dynamics(ViPs).
Ron earned his BSc degree in Computer Science at Towson University, has completed various AWS training courses, he is a certified Agile Scrum Master, completed LEAD leadership education, and holds multiple technical certifications.
