    Executive Chairman

    As chairman of the Applied Insight board, John provides strategic counsel to the leadership team and supports outreach with senior customers and industry partners. He was formerly CEO of the company.

    A former naval aviator, John has been a senior leader with some of our industry’s preeminent companies. He ran ManTech’s security and mission assurance organization, was General Manager of SAIC’s mission support business, and senior vice president of TASC’s defense and civil group before being appointed as COO and CEO. Following TASC’s acquisition by Engility, John became president and COO of the combined business. He is highly experienced in M&A, having played a lead role in many transactions during his career, and overseen the successful integration of acquired companies.

    A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and George Washington University, John sits on the advisory board of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA), is a board member at the Capital Area Food Bank, and a recipient of the Federal 100 Award from Federal Computer Week.

    Chief Executive Officer

    Amanda Brownfield is a C-Suite executive with significant P&L leadership experience in both privately held and publicly traded companies in the federal and commercial technology space. Amanda is a unique talent. She achieved market-leading growth in large businesses by employing the technology-enabled services delivery model in the federal market, and led a small, founder-backed commercial SaaS business through its transition from start-up to scale-up.

    Before joining Applied Insight, Amanda served at every level of the corporate organizational structure from leader of small project teams to large program teams and line units with P&L responsibility to the CEO. Prior to joining the private sector, she was a captain in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, serving in the elite XVIII Airborne Corps at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. She holds a B.A. in political science from Duke University and an MBA from the George Washington University.

    Amanda has additional experience as Chairman of the Board of a significant joint venture and service on the Intelligence Community and National Security Alliance (INSA) Advisory Committee. Amanda currently serves on two advisory boards for middle market companies in the GovCon space.

    Stacey Page is responsible for program execution and delivery, as well as for building and managing the company’s growth organization.

    Stacey has more than 30 years of experience in management, business development, strategic planning, program management, and software development in the national security space. Prior to arriving at Applied Insight, she served as vice president of the National Intelligence business unit at SAIC. In a previous role at SAIC/Engility, she led a division focused on technical targeting, analysis, systems engineering, and mission IT for the U.S. Government.

    Stacey also led business development for a $1.5B group within Leidos and SAIC that encompassed the intelligence and defense communities in areas that included geospatial intelligence and production services; intelligence analysis; field operation tradecraft; full-spectrum analytical and mission support; human language services; mission IT; and logistics and sustainment. Earlier leadership roles included operations, division, and program management, as well as lead systems and software engineer within similar mission-support business areas at SAIC.

    She earned a B.A. with a dual major in computer science and economics from Rutgers University.

    Josh leads our finance team and is responsible for all aspects of financial operations and planning across the business, with a key role in supporting the CEO in driving our growth strategy.

    Josh brings nearly 30 years of experience in financial leadership and management and mergers and acquisition within the federal government technology and services market. His previous positions include senior director of transaction advisory services and director of government contract consulting with RSM US, one of the country’s leading advisory firms serving the middle market. Prior to RSM, he was chief financial officer at CCE Inc., one of several CFO roles he has held across the federal sector during his extensive career.

    Josh graduated with a B.S. in Accounting from Guilford College.

    David has executive oversight of company operations, including human resources and recruiting, and is a senior member of our aiLabs team. He was previously COO of Stratus Solutions.

    David is highly skilled in managing the operational demands of a rapidly growing technology business, drawing on his engineering background, technical team-building experience and customer mission understanding. David has worked as a senior program lead and technical specialist on a wide range of DoD and Intelligence Community programs. Prior to Stratus, he was Technical Director of Professional Services at OPNET Technologies.

    David graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in Computer Engineering and completed an M.S. in Technical Management from Johns Hopkins University.

    Adam Gruber

    Chief Technology Officer

    Adam is responsible for guiding Applied Insight's technology strategy and driving the development of innovative products and solutions to support customer missions, specifically through the Altitude and SHIFT product lines. He also leads the team at aiLabs, our dedicated R&D program focused on developing new and pragmatic technologies that advance our customers’ missions.

    Adam has more than 15 years of experience in enterprise cloud computing. He has been a Technical Program Manager on multiple government programs across the intelligence, defense and federal civilian communities, and was instrumental in the development of Altitude, Applied Insight's cloud management technology. Prior to Applied Insight, Adam was a cyber security specialist with Booz Allen Hamilton, specializing in vulnerability assessment and secure virtualized architectures. Adam holds several advanced technical certifications and is an AWS Ambassador within the AWS Partner Network.

    Adam graduated with a B.S. in Computer Forensics from Stevenson University. He earned an M.S. in Information Assurance from Capitol Technology University, and an MBA in Business Analytics from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.

    As Senior Vice President, Intelligence, Phillip leads all aspects of support to the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC).

    As a highly experienced systems architect, engineer and team leader, Phillip has a deep understanding of the complex technical challenges facing our IC customers. He has directed numerous large cloud, data and cyber security programs, with executive responsibility for technical design, program delivery, client liaison and team leadership. Prior to his arrival in Applied Insight, he was Vice President, Intelligence, of Stratus Solutions. Phillip was also a senior consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton, where he delivered multiple IC programs as the technical lead. He began his career as a network security and application analyst on projects with the DoD and IC. Phillip is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and Network Defense Architect (CNDA).

    Phillip gained his B.S. in Computer Information Systems specializing in Computer Forensics from Stevenson University, MD.

    Jeff leads all aspects of Applied Insight’s support to federal civilian agencies, where he currently supports all three branches of the federal government.

    Jeff is a seasoned operator in the federal IT space, bringing over 16 years of experience in Program Management on complex government projects. He has a proven track record of leading complex integrated worldwide communications, marketing, and IT programs to successful outcomes, deploying his skills as a certified Project Management Professional. He has led programs supporting the U.S. Courts, Department of Justice, Defense Health Agency, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, Department of Homeland Security, Veteran Affairs, Department of Energy, Department of Agriculture, General Services Administration, and Health and Human Services.

    Jeff received his B.S. in Financial Management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

    Bill leads AI's support to customers in the Department of Defense and Department of Homeland Security.

    He brings nearly 20 years of experience developing impactful solutions for the federal government. He has led programs supporting customers including U.S. Cyber Command, U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army, as well as members of the Intelligence Community and DHS. Prior to his arrival in Applied Insight, Bill worked with Booz Allen Hamilton and AAI Corporation. He holds several certifications, including the Project Management Professional (PMP) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).

    Bill earned a B.S. in Information Systems Management and an M.S. in Information Assurance from the University of Maryland.

    Mark leads Applied Insight's support to U.S. Armed Forces customers, with a special focus on next-generation cloud technology within the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy.

    Mark brings 30 years of experience as a senior program leader and engineer working with customers across the U.S. Defense and Intelligence communities. He has a strong track record of delivering complex programs in mission-critical environments with both technical and fiscal accountability. Mark has led programs supporting the U.S. Air Force Assistant Secretary of Acquisition, U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Fighters and Bombers Directorate, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, and numerous intelligence agencies. Prior to his arrival in Applied Insight, he served as Senior Armed Forces Program Director with Stratus Solutions. Mark has also held leadership and technical roles in Engenuity, TSG, ECS, and the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory.

    Mark graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from Penn State University.
