AFCEA Honors Applied Insight VP Morgenstern for Advancing Women in Defense

RESTON, Va., Feb. 16, 2023 – Applied Insight, a cloud and technology services leader in the federal market, today announced that AFCEA has honored Jessica Morgenstern, the company’s Vice President of Business Development Operations – Capture and Proposals, for her long-time work in furthering the careers of women in the defense industry. Morgenstern was recognized as one of the eight recipients of AFCEA’s annual national Woman’s Appreciation Award at an event hosted by the AFCEA Central Maryland Chapter.

“We know just how fantastic Jessica is, so it comes as no surprise to us that AFCEA is recognizing her work for building up the careers of women in the federal contractor space,” said Larry Denton, Applied Insight’s Chief Growth Officer. “Jessica, through her actions in the workplace as well as her volunteer efforts with AFCEA, has spent years guiding and advising women in this traditionally male-dominated field so they could ascend to the highest levels of the profession. Morgenstern is being lauded not only for her mentoring abilities, but also for her help in the development of women professionals and supporting the advancement of careers and career opportunities, as well as promoting STEM careers for women through the creation of scholarships. Morgenstern is currently the AFCEA chapter’s Vice President of Scholarships.
